Steve Hisker

Founder

Steve Hisker is the founder and Greenville criminal defense lawyer at Hisker Law Firm, PC. Mr. Hisker graduated from the University of South Carolina - cum laude - before enrolling in the University of South Carolina School of Law. During his time in law school, he earned one of just three clerkships, granting him the opportunity to work for Jack Swerling, a famed criminal defense lawyer. Upon receiving his JD, Mr. Hisker began his career as an associate of Attorney Swerling, garnering experience in the area of criminal defense law by preparing hundreds of cases, including murder trials and high-profile matters.

Hisker Law Firm, PC was founded in 2005 by Steve Hisker. Mr. Hisker has spent his time as a lawyer earning a reputation built on success and respect. He is frequently appointed by the court as part of the defense for individuals facing complex cases such as drug crimes, sex offenses and DUIs. This experience has served him well, as he was part of the longest criminal trial in South Carolina, and was among a group of lawyers appointed to South Carolina's first federal death penalty trial.

Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Hisker has acquired the respect of many judges and lawyers, as evidenced by his approval to represent individuals in Federal Criminal Justice Act matters. In 2006, Hisker Law Firm, PC opened a second law office between Greenville and Spartanburg. This location led Mr. Hisker to start and coach the James F. Byrnes Mock Trial Team at James F. Byrnes High School.

Mr. Hisker represents individuals in a wide range of criminal law matters, from simple DUI to white collar crimes and other felonies.
